Get To Know Agroschooling!
Agroschooling is an educational outreach program organized by Project Department IAAS (International Association of Students in Agricultural and Related Sciences) that aims to introduce agricultural science, environmental awareness, and sustainability to younger generations through creative, hands on learning experiences.
Opening of Agroschooling and Presentation of Material “Exploring Environmental Conservation, Bio-productive Benefits, and Innovative Agriculture for Sustainability Awareness”
The official opening ceremony will be attended by representatives from SDN Maruyung 1 and IAAS LC Unpad. In this first meeting, an overview of the material will be presented, covering ecosystems, the benefits of ecosystems for living organisms, how to maintain ecosystem stability, and how the hydroponic wick system works and its various benefits. The material in this meeting will be delivered through interactive games such as puzzle card boards or a direct visit to a hydroponic expert if possible, so that the children can see the hydroponic wick system firsthand.
- Conducting various outdoor activities and practicing the wick system hydroponics.
In the second meeting, the wick system hydroponics practice was conducted in groups using the provided materials, so the children only followed the instructions given by their respective group facilitators. Additionally, a group-based quiz related to the material will be conducted.
- Presentations on biopores and Ecoenzymes were conducted, including biopore simulations and examples of Ecoenzymes, followed by the closing ceremony of Agroschooling.
During the third session, a concise presentation on biopores and Ecoenzymes was conducted in an interactive and engaging manner to make it easy for the children to understand and enhance their knowledge and awareness of environmental and ecosystem conservation. The activity continued with a biopore simulation using simple tools in the form of miniatures provided by the organizers, giving children the opportunity to observe directly, followed by showing examples of finished Ecoenzymes so that children can see the results of Ecoenzymes.
