IAAS Earth Day

Get To Know IAAS Earth Day!

Earth Day is an event held to commemorate International Earth Day. Essentially, Earth Day is held to raise awareness and show appreciation for the earth we live on. Therefore, this year's Earth Day event focuses on waste management with the hope of minimizing the environmental impact it causes while supporting social activities that can be the beginning of major changes that will have a positive impact on the future.

This year, Earth Day collaborated with Donaction, and the event included donations to orphanages as a form of solidarity and support for children in need. In addition, there were educational sessions and workshops on waste sorting led by Bank Sampah Bersinar. Through these activities, participants were encouraged to better understand the importance of proper waste management and how small actions in everyday life can have a big impact on environmental sustainability.

In addition, Earth Day in previous years was no less interesting. The participants planted tree seedlings in a designated area, namely Mount Geulis, located in Jatiroke, Jatinangor District, Sumedang Regency. Each participant received one tree seedling, which was then planted in a designated area, with a total of 83 seedlings. This activity can raise public awareness and provide new insights into tree planting, which can be developed in the future.
