JATINANGOR, SUMEDANG — The spirit of Earth Day isn’t just about grand celebrations; it’s about taking physical action. This was the driving force behind IAAS In Action 2025, a powerful series of events held from April 16th to 22nd, 2025. With its compelling theme, “Green Action, Real Impact: Caring for The Earth, Caring for People,” the program demonstrated that environmental and social responsibility are two sides of the same whole.
From Digital Awareness to Hands-On Change
The activities began on April 16th with a digital education campaign. Through engaging infographics, IAAS LC Unpad educated the public on the critical importance of waste management and recycling. The core message was simple and powerful: taking care of the earth starts with small actions, like sorting trash at home or giving new value to used goods.
The movement culminated in a day of collaborative action on April 19th. Partnering with children from a local orphanage “Panti Sosial Asuhan Anak (PSAA) Aisyiyah Rancaekek”, IAAS LC Unpad members held a creative workshop. They transformed plastic waste into colorful and imaginative works of art. This activity was more than just a creative outlet; it was a space to instill environmental awareness in the younger generation from an early age, in a fun, meaningful way and memorable experience.

Reflection and Commitment for the Future
The series concluded on April 22nd, Earth Day itself, with an internal reflection session. IAAS LC Unpad members took this moment to reaffirm their commitment to being a generation that not only cares but is ready to create a genuine impact.

IAAS In Action 2025 proved to be more than just a successful event. Every small step they took is a testament to the fact that joining IAAS means becoming part of a global movement dedicated to protecting our planet, empowering communities, and building a more sustainable for the future.
“Because every small action is a step toward a great change”.
