PROJECT DEPARTMENT
What is Project Department?
The Project Department is one of five departments within the IAAS LC Unpad organization. This department is tasked with making a positive impact on the surrounding community, both in the form of communities in assisted villages and outside assisted villages, through empowerment and improvement of the quality of life of villagers. The work programs implemented by the IAAS LC Unpad Project Department consist of four activities: Competition Preparation, Donate and Action (Donaction), Village Concept Project (VCP), and Agroschooling.

Work Program
- Action (Donaction)
Create a KitaBisa account to collect funds that will be donated to those in need in the form of cash and basic necessities. The hope is that by creating a KitaBisa account, a wider reach for fundraising donations will be achieved. The donation drive will take place from March 3 to March 18, 2025. Bringing joy during the holy month of Ramadan by distributing free iftar meals to fasting individuals at specific crowded locations, with prior notice given to those in need.
Distribution of Donation Proceeds and Materials for the Month of Compassion: “Soothes the Heart and Enlightens the Soul” to Selected Orphanages. The highlight event will be a special moment combining inspiration, education, and concrete action to support selected orphanages. The activity begins with a session themed “Soothes the Heart and Enlightens the Soul,” where participants will engage in an inspirational discussion exploring the values and positive impacts that can be achieved through acts of kindness. Next, participants will engage in flower planting activities, symbolizing the kindness that can grow within each individual’s life. The event will conclude with a shared meal at the orphanage to foster togetherness, warmth, and joy, strengthening the bonds between participants, orphanage residents, and the Donaction committee.
The proceeds from the donations will be given to selected orphanages. This activity also marks the end of Donaction 2025. Through a series of activities, we hope to create an inspiring experience and encourage active participation in shaping a better future through acts of kindness and caring.
2. Village Concept Project (VCP)
- Opening of the Village Concept Project 2025, Presentation, Azolla Cultivation, and Kokedama :
Making The Village Concept Project (VCP) 2025 kicked off with a brief presentation on Azolla cultivation and an introduction to the production of Azolla snack bars by the VCP IAAS LC Unpad team. This presentation aimed to explain creative innovations using Azolla as a base material, thereby encouraging public interest in the utilization of local resources, particularly in the KWT Harum Manis community. The next activity involved the distribution of Azolla seedlings in a prepared pond, aimed at raising community awareness of environmental issues and supporting sustainable agriculture. The activity continued with the creation of decorative kokedama plants using coconut husks as the medium. This aimed to maximize local resources into natural decorations that are easy to maintain and do not require much space.
- Azolla Snack Bar Production and Packaging
Azolla cultivated by KWT Harum Manis and peanuts harvested by KWT Harum Manis will be processed into snack bars. In addition to being healthy, this snack is also filling and serves as a new product to support the creativity and innovation of KWT Harum Manis members. The processing practice begins from harvesting to packaging using attractive and marketable packaging. This aims to enhance skills in processing local ingredients and improve the economic well-being of KWT Harum Manis members.
- Marketing and Closing of the Village Concept Project 2025
The products being marketed are Azolla snack bars and Azolla Cheese Sticks, which are the result of last year's Village Concept Project (VCP).
