International Association of Students in Agricultural and Related Sciences (IAAS) is the world's largest student association in the field of agriculture and related sciences. Founded in 1957 with only eight member countries, IAAS has grown significantly over the past 60 years. Today, it boasts 53 member countries and more than 10,000 active members.

hello! i’m arum from iop 25 & i have been part of IAAS since 2021. i joined because i have always loved international communities that open opportunities to build relations & broaden perspectives & i also enjoy joining competitions. i started actively competing in IAAS since 2022 & one of my proudest achievements was winning 1st place in Women in Agriculture 2024 with VCP teams while serving as an executive committee.
beyond the achievements, IAAS gave me the chance to take part in internships, improve my english skills through international exposure & work closely with local communities in village development. for me iaas is more than an organization, it is a place where passion meets purpose, where challenges turn into achievements & where every experience shapes me into a better version of myself. if you are ready to unlock your potential & create real impact, grow beyond yourself, grow with IAAS.
IAAS: One organization, endless opportunities
I never expected that joining an organization could lead to so much more than just a busy schedule. Being part of IAAS turned out to be the gateway to so many valuable experiences. IAAS offers a complete package, not just organizational experience, but also real-world project, international exposure, and a supportive “family” that pushes you to grow
Through the Village Concept Project, I got the chance to collaborate directly with women farmer groups and help them develop their own products. I also organized an event that brought together students from Japan, Malaysia, and Kazakhstan. And to top it off, IAAS LC Unpad won First Place in the Global Project Contest, competing with participants from nine countries!
If you want to challenge yourself, gain valuable skills, and build global connections, IAAS is the place to be. None of these opportunities happened by chance, it takes the courage to knock and open those doors yourself. So, are you ready to open your own doors of opportunity with IAAS?
For me became one of IAAS member, IAAS is a choice that I have never regretted and if told again to choose it seems that I will still choose IAAS to be part of my activities and stories during college.
First, I made many friends, either my classmates, seniors or juniors and from them I received a variety of experiences that help me develop both soft skills such as leadership, people management, team work or hard skills related to agrocomplexes and green environment. Almost everything in IAAS is a memorable experience but if i was asked to choose the most memorable of all those moments for me is gathering agenda which is always filled with exciting vibes where we all have fun without thinking about differences or department conflicts.
Why IAAS? because there are many things that can be learned and done at IAAS
