The 31st National Congress of IAAS Indonesia was successfully held from 26 to 29 January 2026 in Surakarta, hosted by Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) at Hotel Sahid Jaya Solo. Carrying the theme “Cultural Etiquette, the Spirit of Java,” the congress brought together representatives from 13 Local Committees across Indonesia to engage in organizational deliberation while embracing the richness of Javanese cultural values.

IAAS LC Unpad actively participated in this national forum by sending nine delegates:

  3. Rizqi Maula Nurrahman
  4. Haerunisa
  5. Aurazahra Listyaputri Tejakusumah
  6. Maisya Najma Aqila
  7. Muhamad Rizqan Ilmika
  8. Jihan Hasna Kamila.

Throughout the congress, the delegates demonstrated outstanding contributions and achieved numerous recognitions, reflecting IAAS LC Unpad’s strong commitment to excellence and active involvement within IAAS Indonesia.

One of the most notable accomplishments was the appointment of several IAAS LC Unpad members to National Committee IAAS Indonesia positions for the 2026/2027 term. Ayu Nafitsya Divaniani was elected as part of the Control Council of the National Committee, while Rizqi Maula Nurrahman and Haeril Maulidina Hanipa were appointed as Vice Director of Exchange and Vice Director of Communication, respectively. In addition, IAAS LC Unpad members also received special recognition for their contributions. Maisya Najma Aqila served as Election Committee III during the congress, while Debrina Zarqa Dermawan and Haya Nashihah Utami were awarded Best Coordinator of the Science and Technology Department and Best Coordinator of the Human Resource Department of IAAS Indonesia 2025/2026.

IAAS LC Unpad further demonstrated its organizational excellence by receiving the Best Administration System of IAAS Indonesia 2025/2026, represented by Secretary Team IAAS LC Unpad 2025/2026. In the field of innovation, IAAS LC Unpad also achieved the Favorite Champion in the Village Concept Project (VCP) Poster Competition and Exhibition, represented by Maisya Najma Aqila, Nada Syifa Nabilah, Haerunisa, Jihan Hasna Kamila, and Aurazahra Listyaputri Tejakusumah.

The congress featured a series of key activities, including the Opening Ceremony, the VCP Product Exhibition, and a wayang painting workshop that introduced participants to the philosophical and aesthetic values of Javanese culture. The main agenda of the congress was the General Assembly, where important discussions were conducted on the Statutes and Bylaws, the National Committee Accountability Report, as well as Grand Design presentations by candidates for the National Committee. The session concluded with a deliberative election process for both the National Committee and the Control Council of the National Committee.

Several strategic decisions were also made during the congress, including the appointment of Universitas Brawijaya as the host of the 33rd National Congress and Universitas Mataram as the host of the 2027 National Strategic Meeting.

The congress concluded with a cultural excursion to Kampung Batik Laweyan, allowing participants to explore the cultural heritage of Surakarta while strengthening connections within IAAS Indonesia. Through its participation and achievements in this national congress, IAAS LC Unpad continues to demonstrate its dedication to organizational development, collaboration, and cultural appreciation, while strengthening its impact within IAAS Indonesia.
