Public speaking is a form of communication to a group of people in public (usually in the form of a lecture or speech) which aims to provide information and influence or entertain. Public speaking activities aim to convey information, motivate, persuade, influence others, and reach mutual understanding and agreement.

International Association of Students in Agriculture and Related Sciences Local Committee Universitas Padjadjaran (IAAS LC Unpad) proposed a Public Speaking Class activity with the aim of providing an understanding of how to speak well in front of the general public so that they can practice it in everyday life, especially in the world of lectures and organizations. .

• Provide knowledge to participants about the important points that must be applied in order to communicate in public properly and correctly;
• Provide opportunities for participants to be able to apply the insights gained;
• Implementing the principles of Education in the Catur Dharma College, in this case the development of useful skills for students.
